VISIT FROM PEOPLE IN NEED NGO IN FRAMES OF COVID-19 SOLIDARITY PROGRAM

Colleagues from People in Need NGO, Dorota Šuráňová and Zaruhi Tonoyan visited New Generation Humanitarian NGO on November 10, 2020.

 

People in Need NGO is the  lead organization in the consortium of the COVID-19 Solidarity Program, within the frames of which New Generation Humanitarian NGO is realizing the project for Ensuring Sustainable and Safe Implementation of HIV/AIDS Programmes amid COVID-19.

 

The NGO finance manager Arman Sahakyan and project coordinator Alina Mirzoyan introduced to the colleagues to the NGO activity aimed at the regulation of the issues and problems of the society, in particular the issues that vulnerable groups face in the society, at human rights protection, facilitation of access to public healthcare, capacity building and empowerment and humanitarian support to the vulnerable groups of the society. The colleagues also discussed the project progress and results achieved so far.

 

The representatives of People in Need NGO introduced the scope of the activities of the NGO in general and in frames of the COVID-19 Solidarity Program, current and future opportunities of capacity building for grantee NGOs and other support available for NGOs’ empowerment and engagement.

 

The meeting passed in a very warm atmosphere, active discussion and confidence for fruitful partnership and cooperation.

 

 The Ensuring Sustainable and Safe Implementation of HIV/AIDS Programmes amid COVID-19 project is implemented with the financial support of the European Commission in the framework of the “Eastern Partnership –Solidarity Programme”.
