OPEN VACANCY OF a healthcare workers’ Manual development expert

New Generation Humanitarian NGO announces an open vacancy for an expert to develop a manual for health workers through joint efforts and cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Armenia on the topic of the Importance and Specificities of the Work with the Key Populations in the Context of Prevention of Epidemics.

Job description:

The expert or the working group shall prepare a manual for healthcare workers, which will elaborate on proper organization and specificities of the work and provision of health services to the vulnerable groups of Armenia, particularly the key populations of HIV and AIDS Prevention Strategic Program of the Republic of Armenia, and its importance in the Context of Prevention of Epidemics.

Obligations:

  • To conduct survey and assessment of the needs and access to health services among the vulnerable groups; 
  • To study the international experience in the field of organization of the medical work and assistance for the vulnerable groups of the society in the context of prevention of epidemics; 
  • To study the local experience and  current situation in the field of organization of the medical work and assistance for the vulnerable groups of the society;
  • To conduct meetings, discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, medical institutions and other stakeholder bodies;
  • To present a methodology based on the above-mentioned studies on the basis of which the contents/structure of the manual is to be compiled; 
  • To compile the manual in cooperation with the NGO team and Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia; 
  • To conduct a training for Armenian healt workers on the usage of the developed manual; 
  • To present the survey during NGO events, when required. 

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Work experience in development and compilation of manuals,
  • Manuals, questionnaires, reports and other documents preparation skills,
  • Knowledge and experience in the surveys and/or other work in the field of healthcare, issues of vulnerable groups, organization of medical work and assitance,  epidemics prevention and other related fields is an asset.
