WORKING MEETING ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STRATEGY OF “INFORMED AND EQUAL” INITIATIVE GROUP WAS HELD

On July 31, 2020, a working meeting was held with the members and activists of the “Informed and Equal” initiative group, organized by New Generation Humanitarian NGO within the framework of “Promoting Active Participation of KPs for Leadership and Development” project.

 

The mission of “Informed and Equal” initiative group is to support the harm reduction by uniting the stakeholders where people who use drugs will have access to services based on human rights.

 

At the beginning of the working meeting, the President of New Generation Humanitarian NGO and the expert of the working meeting, Sergey Gabrielyan, presented the organization, the spheres of its activity. The project coordinator Hmayak Avetisyan presented the aim of the working meeting and the expected results.

 

Afterwards the participants of the meeting introduced themselves, told about their activity, shared their personal stories, motivation.

 

 

After talking about the expectations and fears, the participants, under the guidance of the expert, discussed and came up with answers to important questions such as the strategic goals of the initiative group, long-term and short-term goals, objectives as well as actions that will help to implement the goals.

 

As a result of the discussions of the working meeting, expert Sergey Gabrielyan will develop a document presenting the further strategy of the “Informed and Equal” initiative group, reflecting the vision of the group of activists.

 

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of active questions and answers, effective discussions and debates, as a result of which the answers to the questions necessary for the development of the group strategy were emphasized and highlighted.          

                   

 

The project is implemented by New Generation Humanitarian NGO and is financed by the Eurasian Coalition on Health, Rights, Gender and Sexual Diversity within the framework of the Eurasian Regional Consortium from the funds of the Robert Carr Fund.
