WORKING MEETING WITH PARTICIPATION OF GROUP OF NATIONAL EXPERTS ON BUDGET ADVOCACY, BUDGET ANALYSIS AND BUDGET ACCOUNTABILITY WAS HELD

On July 31, 2020, the first working meeting of the national experts group operating in the field of budget advocacy, budget analysis and budget accountability was held at the office of New Generation Humanitarian NGO.

 

As a result of the open call for experts announced by New Generation Humanitarian NGO, national experts group was formed, the members of which should work to create 3 important documents in the fields of budget advocacy, budget analysis and budget accountability.

 

The members of the group of experts are  Hovhannes Madoyan (expert representing the financial gaps of the Armenian national budget for health services for MSM with trans* people), Nare Hovhannisyan (expert representing the financial gaps of the national budget of Armenia for social services MSM and trans* people) and Mariam Muradyan (expert representing international experience of budget advocacy for health and social services for MSM and trans* people).

 

During the working meeting the processes of further work were discussed, the methods of carrying out the analysis were outlined.

 

The results of the expert group’s analysis will further help another expert to develop an advocacy roadmap for addressing the financial gaps identified in the reviews.

 

 

The project is implemented by New Generation Humanitarian NGO within the grant issued by Eurasian Harm Reduction Association (EHRA) as a part of the Eurasian Regional Consortium, funded by the Robert Carr Fund for civil society networks (RCF).
