Training on Sexually Transmitted Infections Held in Yerevan
In June 2025, New Generation Humanitarian NGO organized an educational session on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) for its beneficiaries. The training took place at the National Center of Burns and Dermatology under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
The session was led by Dr. Emil Mirzoyan, Head of the Department of STIs, Aesthetic and Instrumental Therapy, and a dermatovenereologist. Dr. Mirzoyan presented detailed information on the most common types of STIs, their modes of transmission, and statistical data on syphilis in Armenia. He also emphasized the importance of early detection and effective prevention methods.
The training was conducted in an interactive format. Participants actively engaged in the discussion, asking questions and sharing their personal experiences. The event created a safe and professional space for open dialogue on health, prevention, and well-being.
New Generation Humanitarian NGO continues to collaborate with medical professionals to ensure its beneficiaries receive reliable, accessible, and high-quality information on sexual and reproductive health, while also working to increase awareness and reduce stigma in communities.
