NEW GENERATION HUMANITARIAN NGO IS NOW A MEMBER OF The Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP)

On July 29, 2020 New Generation Humanitarian NGO became a member of The Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP).

The Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP) exists to uphold the voice of sex workers globally and connect regional networks advocating for the rights of female, male, and transgender sex workers.

NSWP is a membership organisation. Their members are local, national or regional sex worker-led organisations and networks.

NSWP’s work is based on three core values:

  • Acceptance of sex work as work.
  • Opposition to all forms of criminalisation and other legal oppression of sex work (including sex workers, clients, third parties*, families, partners and friends).
  • Supporting self-organisation and self-determination of sex workers.

All NSWP members endorse these core values and NSWP’s Consensus Statement on Sex Work, Human Rights, and the Law. You can read more about what they do, NSWP’s membership and governance structure and their history.

*The term ‘third parties includes managers, brothel keepers, receptionists, maids, drivers, landlords, hotels who rent rooms to sex workers and anyone else who is seen as facilitating sex work.
