New Generation Humanitarian NGO (NGNGO) announces an open call for provision of shelter coordinator’s services. 

Service Description

The Shelter Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of shelter-related activities within the project framework. The position ensures that shelter interventions meet international standards, address the needs of affected populations, and are implemented in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, partners, and beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities

The Shelter Coordinator will be responsible for the effective coordination and management of all shelter activities, ensuring that program objectives are achieved in compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and sector standards.

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of shelter activities.
  • Develop detailed work plans related to shelter.
  • Ensure that shelter interventions are in line organizational guidelines.
  • Monitor progress and quality of shelter services, ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
  • Act as focal point for shelter issues within the project.
  • Represent the organization in meetings with local and international authorities.
  • Coordinate with other sectoral teams to ensure integrated package of services.
  • Ensure proper data collection, documentation, and reporting of shelter activities.
  • Contribute to donor reports, internal updates, and evaluation exercises.
  • Track progress against indicators and propose corrective actions when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Education in social sciences, humanitarian studies, management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shelter or related human rights, humanitarian work.
  • Proven experience in project management and staff supervision.
  • Excellent coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Armenian, Russian, and English.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments and under pressure.
  • Experience working with displaced populations or in emergency contexts is an asset.
  • Familiarity with donor regulations.
