Female Sex Worker Subjected to Violence by a Client
On February 17, 2025, New Generation Humanitarian NGO (NGNGO) received a call regarding an act of violence committed against a female sex worker, A.M. (name changed).
On February 15, 2025, an unknown client visited A.M.’s apartment to receive sexual services. After using A.M.’s services, the client refused to pay the agreed-upon amount. During the dispute over payment—at the moment A.M. threatened to call the police—she was subjected to physical violence: the client hit her on various parts of her body, causing visible bodily injuries.
A.M. contacted the police. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers drew up the appropriate report. On February 17, 2025, following a request from the police, A.M. appeared at the station to provide further explanation; however, she was not issued a referral for forensic medical examination.
NGNGO provided A.M. with legal consultation and, through its support, facilitated her referral for forensic medical examination.
NGNGO will provide additional updates on the case.
New Generation Humanitarian NGO condemns all forms of violence and discrimination against sex workers and reaffirms its commitment to supporting victims by ensuring the protection of their rights.
