The Spread of Narcotic Drugs and Opioid Substitution Treatment in Armenia
In June 2025, at the initiative of the New Generation Humanitarian NGO, an important and highly demanded training was held, focusing on the spread of narcotic drugs and the provision of opioid substitution treatment services in Armenia.
The training was conducted by Anna Asatryan, Head of the Substitution Treatment Service of the National Center for Addictions Treatment under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia. Despite the seriousness of the topic, the session was held in an interactive and open atmosphere. Participants showed genuine interest, raising both professional and personal questions.
Representatives from the Ministry of Health and the Global Fund program team of the National Center for Infectious Diseases were also present, ensuring a comprehensive discussion of the topic.
New Generation Humanitarian NGO continues its close collaboration with both state and non-governmental structures, working together to create a safe, informed, and inclusive environment.
Such meetings not only strengthen professional capacity but also contribute to breaking existing stereotypes in the field and raising public awareness.
