RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF HEALTHCARE WORKERS։ TRAINING FOR MEDICAL STAFF OF THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASES OF MOH, ARMENIA

On December 20, 2024, a training session on the Rights and Responsibilities of Healthcare Providers; Types and Manifestations of Discrimination in the Healthcare Sector, was held for the medical staff of the National Center for Infectious Diseases CJSC (NCID) under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

 

 

 

The training was organized within the framework of HIV Prevention in Armenia program implemented by the New Generation Humanitarian NGO.

 

The aim of the training was to enhance the awareness of NCID medical staff regarding their rights and responsibilities when providing medical care and to familiarize them with the types and manifestations of discrimination in the healthcare sector.

 

The trainer was Shushan Khnkoyan, lawyer of New Generation Humanitarian NGO, who provided a detailed presentation of the rights and responsibilities of healthcare workers, with a focus on recent amendments to the Labor Code of Armenia. The session also covered discussion of the types and manifestations of discrimination in the healthcare sector.

 

The training took place in an atmosphere of lively discussions and Q&A. At the end, participants emphasized the importance of organizing similar training sessions regularly by non-governmental organizations.

 

The training was organized by New Generation Humanitarian NGO in collaboration with the National Center for Infectious Diseases CJSC under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
