Report on the Issues of LGBT Prisoners of Armenia
Center For Legal Initiatives NGO has developed a report on the Issues of LGBT Prisoners of Armenia within the framework of a small grant project provided by New Generation Humanitarian NGO.
The report is the first attempt of comprehensive study of LGBT prisoners of Armenia. Deep research of legislation regulating the criminal executive field, the policy adopted by the state for the protection of the rights of prisoners as well as study of SOGI-based discrimination has been conducted. Recommendations for improvement of the LGBT prisoners’ situation have been developed based on international legal standards and good practice.
