OPEN CALL FOR OUTREACH SERVICES PROVISION
New Generation Humanitarian NGO (NGNGO) announces an open call for provision of outreach services among individuals and private entrepreneurs during 2025.
Project: HIV Prevention among MSM and female sex workers in Armenia
Position: Outreach service provider
Duration: 1 year
Location: Yerevan, Aragatsotn Province, Ararat Province, Armavir Province, Gegharkunik Province, Lori Province, Kotayk Province, Shirak Province, Syunik Province, Vayots Dzor Province, Tavush Province of the Republic of Armenia
Outreach Service Description
Outreach services are defined as an HIV and AIDS prevention intervention aimed at engaging potential beneficiaries within their own communities or environments, establishing social connections with them for providing and referring to prevention, testing, and treatment services. The primary goal of outreach service provider is to connect with individuals from key population groups and raise their awareness about HIV, AIDS, and related services.:
Beneficiary Groups
- Men who have sex with men (MSM)
- Female sex workers (FSW)
Main Responsibilities
Implement outreach services across the entire territory of the Republic of Armenia, specifically providing the following services:
HIV Related Services
- Provide peer-to-peer counseling to beneficiaries on HIV, AIDS, and available services
- Provide pre- and post-test counseling about HIV to beneficiaries
- Conduct rapid, free, and anonymous HIV testing for beneficiaries at a mutually agreed location and time, using oral mucosal transudate or blood rapid tests (as per the beneficiary’s preference)
- Provide HIV prevention materials (condoms, lubricants, etc.) to beneficiaries
Referral to Health Institutions
- In case of HIV sero-positive result, referral and accompanying of beneficiaries to the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID) for further screening and examinations
- Referral and within necessity accompanying the beneficiaries to the relevant healthcare facilities for counseling, testing, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- Referral of the beneficiaries for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) services
Reporting and Monitoring
- Submit reports on the services provided within the specified deadlines;
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the beneficiary and the work carried out with them, the services provided, as well as the reports provided thereabout, including the quantity of materials distributed to beneficiaries;
- Attend regular monitoring meetings within the specified deadlines and as required.
Meeting-discussions and information-education events
Participate in staff meetings, provide information and reports regarding the services offered;
- Participate in meetings and discussions, representing the NGNGO, as well as the ongoing projects and their outcomes, if required
- Initiate, implement, and engage in informational and educational events and activities on HIV prevention, healthcare issues, and safe sexual behaviors
- Ensure beneficiary participation in NGNGO training sessions and other events as required
Required qualifications and skills
- Professional training or further education in the field of HIV prevention and health education is desirable
- Basic knowledge of HIV and AIDS is preferred
- Proficiency in using computers and gadgets (MS Office, internet navigation skills, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Armenian language is preferred
Personal qualities
High social responsibility and strong communication and counseling skills.
- Sensitivity and skills in working with vulnerable groups.
- Good organizational skills and work ethic.
- Personal involvement and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Creativity and innovation.
Application Procedure –

Then, in the next section, you can choose which groups you would like to provide services to: “Outreach_HIV Prevention among MSM” and/or “Outreach_HIV Prevention among FSWs“.
ATTENTION
The service agreement will be signed with the successful applicants after completing training at the National Center for Infectious Diseases CJSC of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
- In case of any deficiencies or violations in the service delivery process, the service provider will bear full responsibility.
- Services must be provided in compliance with:
o The Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Prevention of Diseases Caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV);
o The Law of the Republic of Armenia on Personal Data Protection;
o The statute and bylaws of NGNGO.
