On October 2, 2019, the fourth working meeting of the Consultative Council, consisting of representatives of civil society and community-based organizations was held at the office of New Generation Humanitarian NGO.
Hmayak Avetisyan and Alina Mirzoyan, Project coordinators of New Generation Humanitarian NGO , Garik Amolikyan, President of Colorful House Social-Cultural and Human Rights Defender NGO and Maxim Trubkin, President of For Strong Future Youth NGO took part in the meeting. The meeting was also attended by representatives of two newly established NGOs - Andrey Androsov, President of Equality for All NGO and Artak Arakelyan, President of DiverCity NGO.
Durring the meeting, the format of joining the Consultative Council was discussed, authorized person for presenting the proposal package developed on the basis of MSMIT (guidance on how to build programs to control the HIV epidemic among men who have sex with men (MSM)) and TRANSIT (detailed guidance on how to build programs to control the HIV epidemic among trans people) packages to RA Ministry of health, as well as authorized person for verifying the regulation of Consultative council.
Further work was also discussed during the meeting. It was decided that the Council would begin the process of ensuring the representation of MSM and trans communities in the CCM, and would later support and promote the activity of the selected representatives in the CCM.
The meeting took place in an enthusiastic atmosphere of numerous proposals for intense debate and effective work of the council, with the intention to meet next month's meeting to discuss future plans.
